On 12 March 2019, Divina Naidoo (2nd year Candidate Attorney), Musa Mathebula (Associate), Loyiso Bavuma (1st year Candidate Attorney) and Sean Buskin (1st year Candidate Attorney) attended the career day at the University of the Witwatersrand as representatives of our firm.

Schindler’s, participating in its first career day at Wits, greeted students with pamphlets outlining the practice areas of the firm, the firm’s culture as well as details pertaining to Vac work programs and articles of clerkship. Students further received Schindler’s personalized bottled water and sunscreen on a hot Joburg day.

Our representatives were on hand to answer any and all questions from the vast array of law students looking to plan their legal careers. Each of our representatives, former Witsies themselves, guided the students through the process of applying for Vac work and Articles of clerkship and the experience students could expect to receive at our firm from their own firsthand accounts.

The day served as a great way of introducing Schindlers to those looking to begin their journey in the legal field and also aided Schindlers in discovering what students want from a law firm while they are studying hard for their LLBs.  Our representatives were also more than willing to provide general tips and hints on how to succeed not only in university, but in the ever-competitive legal field.

The firm considers our first career day at Wits a success and is certain it will not be the last! We wish to give a big thank you to all those who did make the effort to engage at the Schindlers stand and we wish you all the best in your studies!
